About 10 years ago, I was in a personal enrichment experience, and one of the exercises involved us choosing a few words that expressed important values to us.
At a later gathering, I was in a group with several friends who had been at the same event, and we were discussing the words we chose. We wanted to chat in a bit more depth about them and learn from each other. Several people in the group had chosen the word Freedom. And as we all described what freedom meant to us, I was astonished by how many different applications there were to the concept of Freedom.
There was a conversation around freedom from some of the internal voices in our head, or freedom from some past painful experience, or even from a person. There was also a conversation about Freedom as a national value and how that varies from person to person. It really opened my mind to how many ways people can apply a concept to their own lives.
So perhaps you want to have some conversations this weekend about the meaning and application of the concept of Freedom, and what that means collectively and individually.

REAL ESTATE CORNER
We are in a very different market than we were after the pandemic. And there are a lot of changes being proposed in the industry. We are seeing new models coming out all the time. You may not see them, but of course, I am looking for them. There are For Sale by Owner models and auction models. Capitalism in action.
I am grateful to have had you in a class or to have met you at an event. So you may have heard me discuss some various models out there. I think when you clearly explain all that you do for the consumer with a clear conversation about payment, the choice will be obvious to them. They either want you and your good service, or they want something else. Don't talk someone into hiring you if you don't want to work with them.
I have written a book for the public called Hire a Great Real Estate Agent! Tips from an Insider. It is available at Amazon and on Kindle. I want the public to get a good agent who is learning how to be creative and to consider all the areas that influence a sale. Agents need to use all their skill to sell houses when there are less buyers in the market. In some situations, you may want to encourage a prospect to interview more than one agent so you can shine. Let them see the options, and if they choose you, they are coming into the situation with more information that will be helpful as you work with them. Consider reading the book and sharing it with your family to consider how things look from the consumer's perspective.
