Hi Friends!
What networking or mastermind group do you belong to?
I have been part of many mastermind groups in my career, and I credit much of my success to these friends and colleagues I met with regularly. I will discuss my offering for women later in this email, but I want to encourage everyone to join or start a group to help you keep focused on the good stuff and growth areas in your lives.
My first professional mastermind was in ... 2006 or 2007. Blogging was growing in popularity, and Twitter had just started. I wanted to learn how to be active online. Another agent in my office, Larry, was all into the blogging and new tech models, and he was willing to teach "us". "Us" was about 6-8 of us who met every week or month - I don't even remember - with our computers in hand, and we did techy stuff together. I could not have grown in my tech and social media use without that group. We did the work. We learned together, applied together, and celebrated the wins.
What area do you need to grow in?
Perhaps you can invite some coworkers to get together with you, and you can grow together? I have done groups for tech support, business growth, and there are groups for investing. Anything you can get friends together to talk about and grow sounds like a win to me!
REAL ESTATE CORNER
Agent friends. Call your past clients.
First, call them because you care about them. Call them to see how they are doing and if there is anything you can do to help them. Just be a kind human to other humans you like. No need to call people you didn't like.
Secondly, people don't know what they don't know about the market right now. If you call your past clients and educate them with real data that you researched, they will be glad to hear it.
Also, I hope you are getting with your lenders to learn what resources and ideas they are working with to help people buy homes. There are resources and ideas that creative people are using to help people make the moves they want and need to make. Look for them. Go to class and learn from others what they are doing. I have upcoming episodes on the Center for REALTOR Development podcast about grants available to buyers. Watch for it in the coming months.
Maybe you and a friend can meet and make calls at the same time, and then compare notes as to what you learned and how you can care for your clients better.
For my non-agent friends, my consumer home buying friends, there are options out there if you want to make a move. Talk with your favorite professional and see if you can make it work. Meet in person, with details, because it may be a bit complicated. But that is ok. Life is complicated right now.
Mastermind Reboot

Monica's Ladies Mastermind, starting this fall, has a name, well, two names - help me out.
Women Living Life Funtentionally! (That is the title I think I want to give it) or Funtentional Female Entrepreneurs (Which has a good business focus in the title) - Which one do you like?
I want to live my whole life with Fun and Intention. And I think that is what the women who are joining me want as well. We recognize that all parts of us lean into all other parts of us, and we want to live our lives holistically.
You read my story above about that first Tech Mastermind. Here is another one about a Professional Speaker's Group for Women that I joined on FB. They started talking about things I didn't even realize I wanted to talk about - like where to hang your microphone when you are wearing a dress! I had worn pants all the time and hadn't even considered it, and it was such a helpful conversation. We will learn things in a monthly class and share ideas with prompts in the FB Community Group. I love how we can encourage each other that way.
We are building our Founder's Group of our first 50 people for $50/month. This group can stay at $50 a month even as the group grows and improves with more benefits.
